About The Position

Carvana is seeking an experienced automotive bodywork professional for its Rio Linda, California Inspection Center. The technician performs extensive bodywork across multiple panels and is expected to train other autobody technicians. Work includes heavy plastic welding and stapling; heavy metal pulling, straightening, shrinking, and stud welding; roof and rocker panel repair; and large-area heavy bodywork, including Bondo repair. The role uses state-of-the-art tools in a high-tech vehicle Inspection Center. Technicians work in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may sometimes be exposed to excessive heat or cold. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional automotive bodywork experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.
