About The Position

Carvana is hiring an experienced auto body technician to perform extensive bodywork on multiple vehicle panels and train other autobody technicians at a vehicle reconditioning center. The role involves heavy plastic welding and stapling; heavy metal pulling, straightening, shrinking, and stud welding; roof and rocker panel repair; and large-area heavy bodywork, including Bondo repair. Technicians use state-of-the-art tools in a high-tech Inspection Center. The position pays $31–$39 per hour. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold. The role requires physically operating vehicle equipment and tools and lifting up to 60 pounds independently. Applicants must be at least 18, have a valid driver’s license, and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Hiring is contingent on passing a background check; the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional automotive bodywork experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.
