Senior Associate, Workplace Platforms

Perform Properties•Santa Monica, CA
•$130,000 - $160,000•Onsite

About The Position

Perform Properties is hiring a hands-on workplace platforms owner to make Microsoft 365 the center of how employees work. The role owns SharePoint, Teams, Viva Engage, Loop, OneNote, Planner, To Do, and the Power Platform, shaping the user experience and driving adoption across the business. A major priority is designing an engaging intranet with clear hubs, navigation, and metadata in partnership with Communications and Marketing. The role also develops how Teams and Viva Engage support day-to-day work and conversation, and assesses where Copilot, agents, and Power Platform automation belong in employees’ workflows. This is a design-and-build role rather than a help desk or standards-only position. The Senior Associate defines requirements and designs changes, then works through managed partners and build partners to deliver and verify them. Revantage North America retains tenant-level execution and security responsibilities. The position also owns platform governance, workplace application standards, implementation reviews, adoption, and structured root cause analysis. It reports to the Director, Technology Enablement, has no direct reports, and is the team’s most senior individual contributor tier. The position works core business hours in the employee’s time zone, with deliberate overlap across the East and West coasts. Some work occurs outside those hours; planned change windows, migrations, and office moves may occasionally take place in the evening or on a weekend. This is not an on-call rotation. Travel is up to 25%, primarily within the employee’s region, occasionally at short notice.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of hands-on Microsoft 365 experience beyond end-user support, including ownership of SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams in a business of comparable or greater complexity.
  • Deep SharePoint Online capability across information architecture, permissions, modern site and hub design, templates, and governance.
  • Experience architecting Microsoft Teams, including channel and lifecycle standards for a distributed workforce.
  • A track record of driving change where execution rights sit with a managed partner or shared service.
  • Established process maturity, including root cause analysis, post-implementation review, and structured troubleshooting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and judgment in setting a high standard for team output.
  • Working depth in Entra ID, Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365 administration, including understanding which changes require tenant-level rights.
  • Practical judgment on Copilot and AI tooling, including assessing usefulness and readiness.
  • Comfort owning standards for workplace tools beyond Microsoft, including Adobe, browsers, and endpoint software.
  • Governance and adoption experience covering rollout planning, testing, training, and measurement.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to work core business hours in the employee’s time zone with deliberate East and West coast overlap; some planned work may occur in evenings or on weekends.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, primarily within the employee’s region and occasionally at short notice.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft certifications such as MS-102 Microsoft 365 Administrator, SC-300 Identity and Access Administrator, or SharePoint and Teams administrator credentials.
  • Power Platform capability.
  • Experience delivering intranets and information architecture at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Architect SharePoint information architecture, site and hub structure, permissions, templates, and lifecycle.
  • Design Microsoft Teams structure and usage, including team and channel architecture, naming and lifecycle standards, and communities for a nationally distributed workforce.
  • Drive adoption of Viva Engage, Loop, OneNote, Planner, To Do, and Power Platform.
  • Assess Microsoft Copilot and other platform AI capabilities and recommend where they should be used.
  • Pilot and evaluate new capabilities, deciding whether to adopt, defer, or decline them.
  • Own platform governance covering site and team creation, ownership and lifecycle, permissions, external sharing, and retention.
  • Set workplace application standards for tools outside the collaboration platforms, including Adobe, browsers, and endpoint software.
  • Drive platform changes through Revantage North America, owning the design, business case, and follow-through through launch and verification.
  • Maintain a written responsibility charter defining direct changes and requests handled through the managed partner, including counterparts and expected turnaround.
  • Raise security and compliance changes through the managed partner, explaining the control and business impact and proposing compliant alternatives.
  • Set requirements for build partners and represent Perform’s needs, escalating stalled requests when needed.
  • Partner with Communications and the intranet workstream to design the architecture and published experience together.
  • Diagnose failed implementations through structured root cause analysis and provide findings and corrective actions.
  • Set and maintain standards for content published into the platforms.
  • Review technical output and configuration changes before they reach the business.
  • Document architecture decisions and their rationale.
  • Drive adoption of new capabilities across the company.
  • Coordinate with the Sr. Associate, Workplace Integrations, to maintain a shared view across both domains.
  • Develop the team’s technical depth through pairing, walkthroughs, and Technology Office Hours.
