About The Position

The Connecticut Green Bank is seeking a Senior Associate focused on campaign support and community outreach. The role supports marketing and outreach efforts designed to grow and nurture the Green Bank’s community channel, assist program teams engaging with communities, build direct relationships with community representatives, and help community members—especially homeowners—access Green Bank programs. The Senior Associate works across the organization on campaigns, programs, and products. The position advances the Green Bank’s outreach and engagement vision through consistent interaction with community stakeholders and campaigns that provide access and assistance to municipalities and organizations supporting their residents. The role requires an understanding of how relationships and partnerships can drive positive business outcomes. The Green Bank is a quasi-public authority and the nation’s first state-level Green Bank. It leverages public funds to increase and accelerate private investment in Connecticut’s green economy, clean energy, and environmental infrastructure.

Requirements

At least five years of relevant work experience performing duties similar to the needs of the role, subject to the stated degree substitution.
Strong interpersonal, relationship-management, and outreach skills, including the ability to work with internal and external parties at all levels.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently, exercise judgment, think critically and creatively, and take initiative.
Ability to travel across Connecticut and attend occasional evening and weekend events or meetings.
Marketing skills or willingness to learn, especially in channel-based marketing and co-branding.
Strong writing skills and effective oral and written communication.
Strong organizational skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to understand energy-related technologies and financial products.
Self-starter with the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
A bachelor’s degree may substitute for three years of general experience; candidates using this substitution must have two years of relevant full-time work experience.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with community and municipal representatives.
General knowledge of renewable energy and energy-efficiency programs, including Connecticut-specific programs.
Experience with Salesforce or other customer relationship management software.
Sales or cold-calling experience.
Ability to communicate proficiently in Spanish or Portuguese.

Responsibilities

Support the Director of Marketing and Outreach and Senior Manager of Community Outreach in developing and implementing the Green Bank’s community outreach strategy.
Support the development and execution of outreach campaigns designed to increase adoption of Green Bank products and programs.
Engage directly with stakeholders, including homeowners and current or potential program participants, through in-person and virtual meetings, roundtables, events, and other activities.
Coordinate with and support Green Bank program teams on community engagement goals.
Work with the Communications team to develop and deliver content, communications, and events supporting campaigns and initiatives.
Collect, analyze, and provide stakeholder feedback and market research to relevant programs for product development or redesign.
Coordinate and leverage the Green Bank’s relationship with Sustainable CT to drive adoption of Green Bank products and support program teams and other Outreach staff.
Represent the Green Bank at events and speaking engagements.
Perform other duties as required.
