NVIDIA is seeking an ASIC Verification Engineer to verify GPUs, focusing on unit-level verification of GPU process scheduling and system interface hardware. The role works across software, architecture, design, methodology, and other teams. The GPU technology supports applications ranging from consumer graphics to self-driving cars and artificial intelligence. The engineer will develop and maintain a unit-level testbench, refine microarchitecture plans with RTL and architecture teams, plan verification strategies for subsystem features, support post-silicon validation, and use AI tools to accelerate testbench development, automation, debugging, and problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a similar area, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of verification experience.
  • Exposure to computer architecture, ASIC design, and verification methodology.
  • Strong ability with SystemVerilog, test planning, coverage closure, and testbench design.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability and desire to work as a teammate.
  • Good debugging and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with assertion-based verification, Semiformal Verification (SFV), Unified Verification Methodology (UVM), SystemVerilog checkers, and scoreboards.
  • Perl or Python knowledge.
  • Experience with multiple verification methodologies.
  • Leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and work on a unit-level testbench, including directed and random tests and test infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the future direction of the testbench methodology.
  • Partner with RTL and architecture teams to refine microarchitecture plans and ensure design changes are verifiable.
  • Architect and plan verification strategy and execution for subsystem features that impact the unit.
  • Support post-silicon validation activities.
  • Use AI to accelerate testbench development, task automation, debugging, and problem-solving.
