About The Position

We're seeking a full-time Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team! This role will be responsible for accurately tracking and recording cash flow. This position can be either hybrid from our San Diego La Jolla office or fully remote for candidates in California.

Requirements

Highschool diploma or GED equivalent required
3-5 years of related experience Accounts Payable
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong understanding of General Ledger system and Accounts Payable processing
Understanding of GAAP
Highly motivated self-started with commitment to attention to detail
Ability to multi-task, work independently, and within a team environment
Strong organizational, analytical, and recording skills
Strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field experience preferred
Bi-lingual a plus (Fluent in Spanish)

Responsibilities

Review and record invoices from vendors to ensure accuracy in billing
Vendor Onboarding
Acquire proper approval for billing and vendor set-up
Process expense reports from employees to identify discrepancies and escalate in appropriate manner
Maintain 1099s and generate report at year end
Assists with the resolution of discrepancies or problems that prohibit timely ordering of goods and services or timely payment of invoices
Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
Update deposit log on a regular basis
Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports
Reconcile supplier statements
Reconcile Bank Statements
Ad hoc duties as assigned
