About the position
We are seeking an equipment engineer with extensive experience in the semiconductor industry to join our team. This individual will be responsible for hands-on equipment maintenance and installation, troubleshooting and repairing electrical and electronic systems, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have exceptional problem-solving abilities, deep technical knowledge, and a self-starter mindset. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Hands-on equipment maintenance and installation
- Identify and repair any defects or malfunctions
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems
- Interpret electrical schematics and flow charts
- Ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA rules
- Place orders for spare parts and complete required documentation
- Follow written and verbal instructions in compliance with manufacturing standards
- Support and participate in the organization's Continual Improvement Program
- Perform other assigned duties
- Exceptional problem-solving ability and deep technical knowledge
- Extensive mechanical and electrical experience
- Self-starter with innovative thinking
- Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in a manufacturing facility
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting, bending, standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in the semiconductor industry
- Knowledge and experience in photolithography, RIE, thin-film deposition, CVD/diffusion, and plating processes
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance, tool upgrades, tool repairs, and equipment installation
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for electrical and electronic systems
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and flow charts
- Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in a manufacturing facility
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in compliance with manufacturing standards
- Exceptional problem-solving ability and deep technical knowledge
- Self-starter with innovative thinking and ability to find faster ways to accomplish tasks
- Physical ability to sit, bend, stand, walk for 8-10 hours per day
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
