About The Position

Saks OFF 5TH is an off-price luxury fashion retailer and part of Exemplar Luxury Group. The Selling Associate helps create a memorable customer experience and supports the store’s reputation as a luxury-value destination. The associate serves as a style advisor, builds customer relationships, encourages repeat visits, maintains product knowledge, and contributes to sales and the clienteling experience. The role also supports store operations, merchandising, asset protection, and selling events.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in a retail, customer service, or sales environment.
Proven sales track record and a results-driven mindset.
Competitive drive and entrepreneurial confidence.
Ability to deliver a high standard of customer service and build exceptional customer relationships.
Thorough knowledge of the fashion industry and a passion for sharing expertise.
Ability to act promptly in routine situations and identify a clear plan of action that leads to a positive customer outcome.
Ability to operate radios, POS registers, ticket scanners, and sensor removers.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and preferences.
Stay familiar with store inventory and provide customers with product knowledge.
Greet customers and educate them about current promotions.
Build customer relationships, foster repeat business, and promote the Saks credit card.
Process sales transactions accurately using the POS register system and follow checkout standards.
Resolve customer issues in alignment with the company’s values of trust, integrity, and respect.
Work toward individual and store goals for sales, customer acquisition, and loyalty program participation.
Maintain the selling floor and fitting rooms, including resizing fixtures, putting away go-backs, executing markdowns, and signing fixtures and windows as needed.
Complete markdowns urgently and accurately according to company standards.
Participate in store programs and selling events.
Maintain merchandise displays in accordance with brand standards.
Follow asset protection control and compliance procedures.
Support the store’s shortage and theft awareness program by using company reporting methods.
Complete tasks and special projects assigned by store leadership.
