About The Position

Public Storage is hiring a Property Manager to work independently across multiple self-storage locations. The role involves working both indoors and outdoors, assessing customers’ storage needs and recommending storage options and packing and moving supplies. Managers inspect storage units to confirm inventory and rental availability, audit cash drawers, make bank deposits, and contact customers about current payments and collections. The position also includes cleaning and routine maintenance of interior areas and exterior grounds.

Requirements

• Experience in a customer-service-centered sales environment; examples include retail, restaurants, fast food, or other service-based companies.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Use of a personal vehicle to travel between work locations or conduct work-related business.
• Ability to lift, move, or transport items weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to walk around facilities, climb stairs, open large doors, and spend up to 50% of work time outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Assess customers’ storage needs and make recommendations, including selling packing and moving supplies.
• Inspect storage units daily to confirm inventory and availability and ensure spaces are ready to rent.
• Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits.
• Help customers stay current with payments and make reminder and collection calls when required.
• Clean and maintain facilities, including sweeping and mopping interior areas and keeping exterior grounds clean and free of debris.
• Travel between multiple work locations and conduct other work-related business using a personal vehicle.
