About The Position

The Security Shift Supervisor helps maintain a safe and secure environment for the client by actively monitoring the premises and patrolling a variety of locations. The role preserves order by enforcing site regulations and directives for personnel, visitors, and the surrounding area. The supervisor may also provide customer service and information to client employees and customers.

The position requires meeting and continuing to meet any site-specific skill, certification, or authorization requirements. The supervisor assists with training Security Officers and reviewing post orders, provides positive direction to motivate performance, and applies knowledge of supervisory practices and security and safety devices. The role requires reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently. Training is provided for candidates who need preparation for a career in security.

Requirements

• Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
• Ability to provide positive direction and motivate performance.
• Understanding of a variety of security and safety devices and controls.
• Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work independently.
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet requirements for skills, certifications, or authorizations specified for the assigned site.
• A driver license is required.
