About The Position

Requirements

State- or municipality-mandated security officer licenses.
At least a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Must hold a security guard license or be able to obtain one within an acceptable period.
Reliable means of communication and transportation.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Neat and professional appearance.
Ability to write routine correspondence, including log entries and incident reports.
Driver's license, as indicated in the job title.

Nice To Haves

Previous contract security, law enforcement, military, or customer service experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

Assist customers, employees, visitors, and guests while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Maintain a visible presence at the assigned facility or building.
Monitor the environment and identify suspicious or unsafe activity.
Become familiar with incoming and outgoing traffic and recognize customers, tenants, visitors, and guests.
Greet customers, visitors, staff, tenants, and guests professionally.
Answer phones professionally.
Permit authorized persons to enter the property and monitor entrances and exits.
Learn and enforce facility or building policies and procedures within the limits of the position.
Conduct required patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
Observe departing personnel to help protect company property and ensure property removal is authorized under customer requirements.
Follow established emergency action plans and procedures.
Monitor alarms and systems.
Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities as directed.
