About The Position

Harvard Protection Services is hiring a Security Guard CCTV to provide professional, customer-focused security and life-safety services for people and property. The role involves maintaining a visible presence, monitoring the facility and its systems, controlling access, conducting patrols, and following established emergency procedures. Duties may vary depending on the customer location assigned. The scheduled shifts are Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The listed wage is $16.48 per hour. Requirements

Hold state- or municipality-mandated security officer licenses, as applicable.
Have at least a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Have a security guard license or be able to obtain one within an acceptable period.
Have reliable means of communication and transportation.
Have strong interpersonal communication skills.
Maintain a neat and professional appearance.

Nice To Haves

Previous contract security, law enforcement, military, or customer service experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

Maintain a professional demeanor and assist customers, employees, visitors, and guests.
Maintain a visible presence in the assigned facility or building.
Monitor the environment and detect suspicious or unsafe activity.
Become familiar with incoming and outgoing traffic and recognize customers, tenants, visitors, and guests.
Greet customers, visitors, staff, tenants, and guests professionally.
Answer phones professionally.
Permit authorized persons to enter the property and monitor entrances and exits.
Learn and enforce facility or building policies and procedures within the limits of the position.
Conduct required patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
Observe departing personnel to help prevent theft of company property and ensure property is removed only as authorized under customer requirements.
Follow established emergency action plans and procedures.
Monitor alarms and systems.
Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities as directed.
