About The Position

The Security Sergeant provides direction to Security Officers in their efforts to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and employees. The role protects and preserves the hospital’s property interests. The position requires successful prior service in an Officer in Charge role at least 50 times. A high school diploma or GED and Hospital Assault Response and Prevention (HARP) certification are required. An associate degree is preferred. The stated salary range is $21.00 to $33.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Hospital Assault Response and Prevention (HARP) certification.
• Successfully worked in an Officer in Charge role at least 50 times before consideration.
• Ability to communicate with patients, visitors, and coworkers.
• Ability to lead a diverse team while setting expectations.
• 0–2 years of experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree.
• 3–10+ years of experience preferred.
