About The Position

The Security Sergeant provides direction to Security Officers as they work to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and employees, and protects and preserves the hospital’s property interests. The role requires leadership of a diverse team, effective communication with patients, visitors, and coworkers, and coordination of a successful training program for the security team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Hospital Assault Response and Prevention (HARP) certification.
• 0–2 years of experience required.
• Must have successfully worked in an Officer in Charge role at least 50 times prior to consideration.
• Ability to communicate with patients, visitors, and coworkers.
• Ability to lead a diverse team while setting expectations.
• Ability to coordinate a successful training program for the security team.

Nice To Haves

• 3–10+ years of experience preferred.
• Associate degree preferred.
