About The Position

R+L Carriers is hiring Command Center Operators at its Wilmington Service Center. This role responds to incidents and potential threats using network security technology and supports troubleshooting across all 115 terminals. The position requires strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills. The posting lists pay of $17.50–$18.00 per hour, full-time work, and various shifts; candidates must be flexible and may need to work nights and weekends. Employees earn one week of vacation after 90 days of employment.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends if needed.
• Verifiable ten-year work history.
• Understanding of CCTV and remote viewing systems.
• Ability to react effectively to high-stress situations.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong telephone and customer service skills.
• Experience successfully troubleshooting a variety of electronics issues.

Nice To Haves

• Previous military, police, or security guard experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve intrusion attempts.
• Review security events populated in a Security Information and Event Management system.
• Communicate effectively with business partners regarding claims, safety, and overall business needs.
• Support troubleshooting across all 115 terminals.
