About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned retail site in Orlando, Florida. The position offers a fixed weekly anchor shift that requires a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The role is intended to provide reliable hours while allowing employees to vary their schedules and potentially build toward full-time hours, up to 40 hours per week. The listed pay rate is $18.49 per hour. The scheduled shift is Sunday, 8:00 AM–2:00 PM.

The officer provides customer assistance and security-related support at the site, conducts unarmed patrols, monitors access points, responds to concerns and incidents, and documents and reports observations according to site procedures. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations; document observations and report incidents according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, receiving areas, parking lots, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and maintain awareness of deliveries, contractors, associates, and visitors entering restricted or nonpublic areas.
• Communicate professionally with store personnel, customers, and local emergency responders while following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
