About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer for a commercial real estate location in West Covina, California. The officer will help safeguard the client, tenants, and visitors by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access and activity, and providing customer assistance. The role requires professional communication, accurate reporting, and support for a welcoming environment. The listed schedule is Thursday and Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
A guard card or license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property staff by following site-specific security procedures and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location.
Report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with company and site requirements.
