About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Security Officer in De Soto, Kansas, at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The role involves safeguarding the site and supporting a welcoming environment for employees and visitors through patrols, access control, incident response, customer service, and clear communication. The schedule is Sunday and Monday through Thursday, 10:45 PM to 7:15 AM. The pay rate is $22.28 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures and security policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including offices, parking areas, entry points, and the business perimeter.
Identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access points and support visitor management by checking credentials, maintaining required logs, and reporting access concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following emergency procedures and contacting leadership or emergency services as needed.
Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal management.
