Security Officer Part Time Customer Service Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at an Amazon Warehouse in Charlotte, North Carolina. The officer will provide customer service to employees and visitors while conducting patrols, monitoring access points and alarm activity, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The role supports a welcoming environment and requires following site-specific policies and procedures, responding to incidents and emergencies, and documenting activities accurately. The position pays $18.36 per hour. The listed schedule is 10:00 PM–6:00 AM on Monday and Sunday. Additional shifts may be available through Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, entry points, and the perimeter.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials according to site policies, and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
- Accurately and promptly document patrols, incidents, observations, and completed activities using required reporting tools.
