Security Officer Part Time Customer Service Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational setting in Eden, North Carolina. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned campus areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist with X-ray screening as needed. The role emphasizes customer service and clear communication while helping maintain a welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The position pays $16.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM and Saturday from 12:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Employees may use the Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in accordance with established campus protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures.
- Support access control activities and assist with X-ray screening as needed.
