About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Canton, Mississippi. The officer will help safeguard employees and visitors through routine patrols, visible presence, access support, and professional responses to security concerns. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, teamwork, and integrity. The scheduled hours are Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.20 per hour. Officers can use the Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter, identifying and reporting unusual activity or potential concerns.
Monitor access activity and support visitor and contractor entry procedures according to site requirements.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established emergency response protocols.
Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and other security activities, and communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
