About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Entry Authentication in San Jose, California, you will serve and safeguard clients at a residential community. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points and alarms, and respond professionally to residents’ and visitors’ needs. The role involves providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment and contributing to a culture of teamwork, integrity, reliability, and care.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Nice To Haves

A Guard Card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and staff by carrying out security procedures, property policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations, and document observations and actions according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, amenities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity according to site-specific procedures.
Report maintenance hazards, suspicious activity, policy violations, and other security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
