About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for a medical facility in Poway, California. The position provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to the designated site and schedule. The officer may also claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to increase hours up to 40 hours per week and the flexibility to scale back.

The role involves serving patients, visitors, and staff while following site-specific security procedures in a healthcare setting. The listed schedule is Monday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM. Pay is $23.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• A guard card or license.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while following site-specific procedures and security policies in a healthcare setting.
• Screen patients, visitors, and contractors according to facility access requirements, provide directions, and escalate concerns as appropriate.
• Monitor entry points and visitor flow to help deter unauthorized access and support a welcoming environment.
• Respond calmly to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations by following established response procedures.
• Document screening activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to site leadership or emergency personnel as needed.
