About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for facility monitoring at a commercial real estate location in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The role provides a designated site and dependable weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment to that assignment. The employee may claim additional available shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed.

The position provides security-related customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors; conducts patrols; monitors access points and building systems; responds to incidents; and prepares reports. Pay is $17.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Sunday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.
• Commit to the designated site and weekly anchor shift for six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and effectively to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity or property concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and building systems as assigned, following site procedures for access control, deliveries, and contractor arrivals.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and maintenance-related reports in accordance with company and site requirements.
