About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Hampstead, Maryland. The officer will help safeguard the site by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and delivery personnel. The role requires customer service, clear communication, professional responses to routine concerns, and adherence to site-specific security procedures. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $15.70 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations; a license may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter.
Observe entry and exit activity, verify credentials or visitor authorization as directed, and maintain accurate visitor and vehicle records.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document actions according to site procedures.
Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged property, and policy violations.
Complete required daily activity reports and incident documentation.
