Security Officer Part Time Entry Screening
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for entry screening at a food and beverage distribution location in Kailua, Hawaii. The role helps maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, reporting security-related concerns, and providing customer service to employees and guests. The position pays $18.12 per hour and is scheduled Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The officer follows site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. Duties include screening people entering the facility, checking identification and documentation, monitoring facility access, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols. Requirements
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- A Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors entering the facility according to established access-control procedures.
- Verify identification, visitor credentials, and delivery documentation before allowing access to designated areas.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, report unauthorized access attempts or unusual conditions, and document incidents according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations using problem-solving skills.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
