About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer to monitor and patrol a logistics location in Newton, Mississippi. The role helps deter incidents, supports a secure environment for employees and visitors, and involves conducting routine rounds, reporting security-related concerns, and providing professional customer service and communication. Officers follow site-specific security procedures and may take part in emergency response activities. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site; this site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, subject to applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

X-ray screening experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients.
Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
Maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents and support a secure environment.
Report security-related concerns.
Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and clients.
