About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer serving as an entry screener at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Boise, Idaho, you will help maintain a welcoming and controlled environment. You will screen personnel and visitors, verify access credentials, monitor entry points, and communicate with site stakeholders. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter security-related incidents while you provide customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Screen individuals, personal property, packages, and vehicles entering or leaving the technology location in accordance with established procedures.
Verify identification, access credentials, visitor authorizations, and delivery documentation; maintain accurate logs and report discrepancies to site leadership.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
