About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer in Memphis, Tennessee, to serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The role involves routine unarmed patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, supporting access control, and providing customer service. Officers communicate professionally with employees and visitors and respond to security-related concerns.

The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour. Allied Universal offers a platform for viewing and claiming additional shifts, paid training, career growth opportunities, a retirement savings plan, and discounts through its Perks Program.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience.
• Experience in a primarily driving post.
• CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while following site-specific procedures and applicable emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report access-control irregularities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following post orders and escalation procedures.
• Complete activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
