Security Officer Part Time Patrol Incident Reporting

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer for a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Rochester, New York. The officer will safeguard the site through routine patrols, a visible security presence, monitoring access and visitor activity, responding to concerns, and documenting incidents. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, professionalism, and following site-specific procedures and established escalation and emergency response procedures. Officers can use Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. The scheduled shifts are Thursday and Friday, 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. The pay rate is $18.45 per hour. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and drug screening to the extent permitted by law.

Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures and security policies.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, following established escalation and emergency response procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, production areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents.
Complete accurate activity logs, patrol reports, and incident documentation according to company and site requirements.
