About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Patrol in Roanoke, Virginia. In this unarmed patrol role, you will safeguard clients at a dynamic industrial location by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, helping deter security-related incidents, supporting access control, responding to alarms and emerging situations, and documenting activity with computer or tablet systems. The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, reliability, and integrity. The position pays $19.00 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, students, and staff by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, access points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
Monitor access to designated areas, verify authorization as required, and maintain visitor and contractor entry records in accordance with site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
