About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a cleared, unarmed Security Officer. The officer is entrusted with sensitive information and is responsible for protecting classified information and personnel. The role includes specialized training in site-specific security protocols associated with the officer’s clearance level, supporting skill development and professional growth in the security field. This is a temporary position lasting 1–6 months, with weekday morning hours, Monday through Friday, at $24.88 per hour. An active DoD Secret clearance is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Active Department of Defense position-appropriate security clearance; the posting specifies an active DoD Secret clearance.
• At least one of the following: three years of security experience on a DoD-cleared site or prior military experience.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative wireless technology at client-specific sites.
• State or local licensing may be required before employment, depending on applicable laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience.
• Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional security services to safeguard personnel, property, and information.
• Conduct facility and perimeter patrols on foot, bicycle, or by vehicle to protect people, assets, and sensitive or classified information.
• Greet guests and employees and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points.
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders.
• Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances to the client and/or other security personnel through written and oral communication.
• Respond to and assess security or emergency alarms.
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations.
