About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Cleared Security Officer to protect personnel, property, and classified information at a secure site. The role requires a DoD Secret clearance and provides specialized training in site-specific security protocols. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 4 a.m. to noon, at $23.83 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Department of Defense position-appropriate security clearance; the posting specifies a DoD Secret clearance.
• At least one of the following: three years of security experience on a DoD-cleared site or prior military experience.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative wireless technology at client-specific sites.
• State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience.
• Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality security services to safeguard personnel, property, and information.
• Conduct foot, bicycle, or vehicle patrols within and around the facility to protect people, assets, and sensitive or classified information.
• Greet guests and employees, and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points.
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances in writing and verbally to the client and/or other security personnel.
• Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms.
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations.
