Armed Security Officer - Cleared
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Security Officer to support an aerospace and defense location in Fort Worth, Texas. This is a driving post involving armed patrols, access control, customer service, and support for critical operations. The role is scheduled Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at a rate of $27.32 per hour. The officer will safeguard personnel, visitors, and facilities by maintaining a visible security presence, following site-specific policies and access-control requirements, and responding to incidents and emergencies. Work environments and conditions may vary throughout the site. The position requires an active DoD Secret Clearance, a Texas Level III Armed Certification, and relevant security experience.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience.
- At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Texas Level III Armed Certification.
- At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
- Monitor and control access to sensitive areas, verify credentials and authorizations, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity.
- Maintain required armed-post qualifications and equipment in accordance with applicable laws, company policies, and site-specific procedures.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
