About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer in Hanahan, South Carolina, serving a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer helps safeguard the site by maintaining a visible presence, conducting patrols, supporting access control, and documenting activity. The role involves customer service and professional communication with employees, visitors, and contractors, as well as using computer or tablet systems as needed. The stated schedule is Thursday and Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM. Pay is $17.37 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor site access, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
Observe and report unusual conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
