Security Officer Morning Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer Vehicle Patrol Driver for a retail mall location in Goldsboro, North Carolina. The role involves routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, responding to security concerns, and providing customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff. The position is scheduled Friday through Sunday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at $15.00 per hour. The officer will help maintain a welcoming environment while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local regulations.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply before employment, depending on state and local laws and regulations.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and employees by following security procedures and site-specific policies and assisting with emergency response when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, maintenance concerns, and hazards to appropriate personnel, while helping deter unauthorized activity.
- Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events according to established site procedures.
- Assist with access control, visitor directions, traffic flow, and documentation of daily activities, incidents, and security-related observations.
