About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer Driver in Whiteville, North Carolina, to support a government corrections location. The role involves armed patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, responding to site needs, and providing professional customer service and communication. The driving post requires a valid driver’s license. The listed pay rate is $21.50 per hour, and the schedule is Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 5:45 AM to 6:00 PM.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and individuals at a government corrections location while following assigned security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking locations; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
Respond professionally to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations, following post orders and escalation procedures.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor activity, incidents, observations, and patrols in required reports.
Communicate with facility personnel, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership about security concerns and incident response.
