About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Operations in Wilmington, North Carolina, you will serve and safeguard clients in an educational setting. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. The role involves providing exceptional customer service, communicating clearly, and responding to routine security-related needs with integrity. This is a full-time, unarmed position scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, paying $15.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, or policy violations according to site procedures.
Prepare accurate activity and incident reports and maintain professional communication with campus stakeholders and Allied Universal leadership.
