About The Position
As a Security Officer Dispatch Operations Coordinator in Sterling, Virginia, you will serve and safeguard clients at a commercial real estate location. You will coordinate communications, monitor access activity and alarm systems, document incidents, and support timely responses to security-related needs. The role also provides customer service while helping maintain an organized, welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. This is a full-time position paying $23.36 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Wednesday through Saturday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
Requirements
- Possess supervisory experience.
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Undergo a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities.
- Monitor dispatch communications, receive and document calls for service, and coordinate responses to incidents, alarms, maintenance concerns, and critical situations.
- Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, visitor information, and dispatch records in accordance with site procedures.
- Communicate with onsite personnel, responding officers, emergency services, and property representatives to relay relevant information and support coordinated responses.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established escalation procedures.
