About The Position

As a Security Officer Dispatch Coordinator in Minneapolis, Minnesota, you will serve and safeguard clients in transportation and other industries. In a transportation setting, you will coordinate communications, monitor alarm and access control systems, document incidents, and support timely responses to security-related needs. You will help maintain an orderly environment through clear communication, customer service, and attention to detail.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations, and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with alarm panels.
Experience with access control and/or badge systems.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a transportation operations location.
Monitor and coordinate communications related to access control, alarms, incidents, weather conditions, and operational disruptions.
Dispatch security-related personnel and resources for routine requests, incidents, and critical situations, maintaining a calm, problem-solving approach.
Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, dispatch records, and shift activity documentation in accordance with site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned operational areas and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or access concerns.
