About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to patrol a financial institution and help safeguard employees, visitors, and clients. The officer will maintain a visible presence, support a welcoming environment, provide customer service, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. The role includes scheduled daytime and evening weekend shifts.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and taking part in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization, and maintain visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Report maintenance issues, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
