About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for prevention patrol at a commercial real estate location in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The officer will help safeguard the property and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors through patrols, access monitoring, customer service, and professional responses to security concerns. The position pays $22.75 per hour and follows a schedule of 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM on Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state or local law; a license may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and employees by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and taking part in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Monitor property access, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report access-control concerns in accordance with site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
