About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer for perimeter patrol at a commercial real estate location in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The officer will safeguard the property, help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and team members. The position is scheduled Saturday and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM and pays $22.75 per hour. The role involves conducting interior and exterior patrols, monitoring property access, responding to incidents and alarms, and documenting observations and activities. Officers follow site-specific policies and established escalation and reporting procedures. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, tenants, and contractors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
Monitor property access and verify visitor and contractor authorization as required by site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, observations, and maintenance concerns, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
