About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer Perimeter Patrol in Coopersville, Michigan, serving a retail and mall location. The officer helps safeguard the site by patrolling interior common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, delivery zones, and the surrounding perimeter. The role includes providing customer service, monitoring access and activity, responding to incidents, and documenting observations and events. The listed pay rate is $18.12 per hour. The schedule is Thursday and Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, delivery zones, and the surrounding perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
Monitor access points, observe visitor and vendor activity, and maintain awareness of retail operations to help deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and policy violations.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document events according to site procedures.
Complete accurate activity logs, patrol reports, and incident documentation.
Communicate relevant information during shift changes and with Allied Universal leadership.
