Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed perimeter patrol Security Officer for a logistics-focused location in South Bend, Indiana. The officer will conduct routine and random patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role involves communicating clearly, responding to security concerns, and providing customer service. Officers may use the Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Pay is $18.20 per hour. The listed schedule is Sunday and Monday, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet state and/or local licensing requirements, if required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
- Maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents.
- Communicate clearly and respond to security-related concerns.
