About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Birmingham, Alabama. The position offers an assigned site and a designated weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, creating opportunities to increase hours up to 40 per week and adjust their schedule as needed. The pay rate is $13.00 per hour. The listed shift is Sunday, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM.

The officer provides customer service while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. Duties include responding professionally to incidents and access concerns, patrolling assigned areas, monitoring access points and deliveries, reporting unusual conditions, and documenting patrols and daily activity. Employment is contingent on applicable background and drug screening. State or local licensing may be required.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, perimeter, and other assigned locations.
• Monitor access points, observe deliveries and departures, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Accurately document patrols, incidents, and daily activities according to site-specific procedures.
