About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Patrol Security Officer in Torrance, California, serving a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. The role supports a welcoming environment and requires communication with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership. The schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The pay rate is $20.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by following site-specific security procedures and policies and, when appropriate, taking part in emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access to the location and verify visitor and contractor authorization according to site procedures.
Report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, using problem-solving skills.
Document observations and actions according to site requirements.
Maintain awareness of changing conditions and communicate clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Support a professional environment for all occupants.
