About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control Driver for an assigned chemical and petrochemical site in Sulphur, Louisiana. The position provides a fixed weekly schedule of anchor shifts, which requires a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The role involves providing customer service and carrying out site-specific access-control and security procedures.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located is required.
• At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a chemical and petrochemical location by following site-specific access-control procedures and policies.
• Verify identification, credentials, access authorizations, and vehicle or delivery information before allowing entry to restricted areas.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and alarm or communication systems; maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and incident documentation.
• Respond calmly to access-control concerns, incidents, and critical situations, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, perimeter areas, and designated facilities to deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
