About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time enhanced Security Officer for access control at an aerospace and defense location in Stockton, California. The position provides a fixed, designated weekly schedule at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to the anchor shifts. The listed shifts are Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Employees may also claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, potentially working up to 40 hours per week and scaling back when needed. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

The role provides customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site security procedures and policies. Duties include controlling access to restricted areas, responding to incidents, monitoring access-control and surveillance systems, and patrolling facility and perimeter areas.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, and documenting visitor and contractor access according to site requirements.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access-control systems, alarms, and surveillance equipment, and report irregularities and maintenance concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
