About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control in East Point, Georgia. The role provides a designated site and fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Hours may vary from week to week, with opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week and the option to scale back. The pay rate is $17.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Thursday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM.

The officer provides customer service while following security procedures, site policies, access-control protocols, and emergency-response procedures when appropriate. Duties include verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, directing authorized personnel, responding to incidents, conducting patrols, deterring unauthorized activity, and documenting incidents.

Employment is subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations.
• Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and appropriate emergency-response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the distribution location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized personnel.
• Respond calmly to access-related incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, the business, and perimeter.
• Help deter unauthorized entry, theft, and other policy violations by observing activity, reporting suspicious conditions, and accurately documenting incidents.
